Last weekend, the physics graduate student association at Auburn University continued the tradition and hosted the 8th Annual Southern Physics and Astronomy Graduate Student Symposium (SPAGSS). 

Some students from our physics and astronomy department were able to represent UA and give invited talks, contributed talks, and posters at this Symposium!

While we were there, it was great to meet and engage with many physics and astronomy graduate students from various universities like Georgia tech, UGA, UAH, MSU and Ole Miss! 

Thank you so much to the PGSA at Auburn for this opportunity and we look forward to representing ourselves next year too at MSU!

We explored the entire museum on a guided tour, watched a JWST planetarium show, tackled a Mars themed escape room, and experienced two space-related rides. Overall, it was an amazing day filled with learning, bonding, and exploration.
